TOWN OF INTERLACHEN SPECIAL TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES THURSDAY, AUGUST 24, 2017 – 6:00 P.M. DICKERMAN BUILDING CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Meadows called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. ROLL CALL Council Members present were Chairperson Carolyn Meadows, Beverly Bakker, Carolyn Bennett, Judi Costanzo and John Lahert. Mayor Larsen and Attorney Holmes were present also. COUNCIL CHAIRPERSON: CAROLYN MEADOWS Chairperson Meadows stated that this special meeting is to address the flooding damage problem with Mrs. Chase’s property, and turned the meeting over to Attorney Holmes. COUNCIL DISCUSSION: Discussion and Consideration of the Chase Property Issue. Attorney Holmes stated that progress has been made in terms of getting to the point to resolve the water damage in the Chase home and that now a plan is needed to decide who is going to do what work. Mrs. Chase received a quote of $11,826.50 from ServPro of St. Augustine for complete mold remediation/removal and restoration/replacement. Todd Walker, from Art Walker Construction stated that it had been hard to get quotes from various companies and requested that an air quality test be done at the end of the restoration project. Attorney Holmes proposed to draft an agreement for Mrs. Chase to sign stating she is in agreement with the ServPro estimate, in addition to an air quality test at end of work. ServPro can begin work in two weeks. Mrs. Chase stated that she wants grass put back in her yard after the Restoration work has been completed in the house. ADJOURNMENT: Meeting adjourned at 6:20 pm.
